Backstory:
Acceptable Alternative came together in the buzzing back alleys of Philadelphia in 2012. The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Lucas Stevens, drummer and backing vocalist Alex Hale, bassist Parker Daniels, and keyboardist Emily Kane. Each member was part of the city’s underground music scene before they met at a charity gig and decided to form a band. They immediately clicked, sharing a love for the alternative genre and a desire to experiment with their music.
The band started off by playing at local bars and small music festivals, slowly gaining a dedicated following. Their breakthrough came in 2015 with the release of their debut album, “Fringe Frequency,” which promptly caught the attention of critics and listeners alike. Acceptable Alternative’s music is characterized by its emotive lyrics, innovative combination of different styles, and the distinct, raspy voice of Lucas.
