Backstory:
Aching Bulb was born out of the ashes of a high school rock band in Buffalo, New York. The founding members, Steve “Stix” Hixon and Jesse “Jay” Morrison, started out jamming together in their parents’ basements. Their shared love for music, coupled with the angst of adolescence, led them to create something uniquely their own. After a few years of playing local gigs and refining their unique sound, they were joined by keyboardist, Sara “Synth” Green, and bassist, Liam “Lo” Cooper. The name “Aching Bulb” was chosen because they felt it perfectly represented their raw, electric sound with an undercurrent of longing and pain.
