Agitated Stroke

Backstory:

Agitated Stroke emerged from the underground music scene of Liverpool, England, in the year 2003. The band was formed by the reunion of childhood friends, lead vocalist and guitarist, Max “Maddox” Kingsley, bassist, Liam “Lynx” O’Shea, drummer, Noah “Noire” Kent, and keyboardist, Jake “Jazz” Patterson. After graduating from high school, the foursome was hit with the harsh realities of life and channeled their frustrations, angst, and longing for change into their music, hence the name, Agitated Stroke.

The band started by playing in local bars and pubs, their raw energy and intense performances quickly earning them a devoted local following. They used the urban landscape of Liverpool as their inspiration, creating a unique sound and style that resonated with the city’s youth. A few years later, Agitated Stroke was discovered by a record label executive during one of their performances, and they’ve been on the rise ever since.

Agitated Stroke’s music is best described as a blend of Punk Rock and Indie Alternative. Their sound is characterized by hard-edged guitars, explosive drumming, and poignant lyricism, layered with subtle elements of synth and reverberating basslines.

(Verse 1)
[C] Packing up my dreams in a [Am] cardboard box,
[F] Suburban streets feel like a [G] paradox,
[C] Lost my way in a [Am] concrete maze,
[F] Living on the edge of [G] better days.

(Chorus)
[C] Singing the suburban [Am] misfit blues,
[F] Tired of conforming, got [G] nothing to lose,
[C] Rising from the ashes, [Am] breaking the chains,
[F] We’ll keep on fighting, [G] despite the pains.

(Verse 2)
[C] The city lights flicker like a [Am] neon dream,
[F] Everything’s not as it [G] may seem,
[C] We’re the rebels with [Am] nowhere to roam,
[F] Suburbia’s misfits, [G] making it our own.

(Chorus)
[C] Singing the suburban [Am] misfit blues,
[F] Tired of conforming, got [G] nothing to lose,
[C] Rising from the ashes, [Am] breaking the chains,
[F] We’ll keep on fighting, [G] despite the pains.

[C] Yeah, we’re the misfits, [Am] hear our truth,
[F] Singing loud the [G] suburban blues,
[C] We won’t be silenced, [Am] we won’t be used,
[F] Echoing the anthem of [G] the suburban misfit blues.
