Backstory:
Ajar Substance formed in the outskirts of Seattle in 2012, where four childhood friends discovered their shared passion for music. The friends, Michael (vocals, guitar), James (bass), Kevin (drums), and Daniel (keyboard, backing vocals), were constantly surrounded by music. James’s father owned a record store, filled with vinyl from every genre imaginable. Brought up around a plethora of different musical influences, the friends decided to form a band and started practicing in James’s father’s store after hours. After a few years of playing at local bars and pubs, they released their debut album, which quickly caught the attention of indie music lovers around the world.
