Backstory:
Alarming Middle is the brainchild of four childhood friends hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Their shared passion for music and storytelling eventually led them to form a band in their late teens. Comprising frontman, Riley Clark, guitarist, Matthew Cohen, bassist, Noah Gibson, and drummer, Ethan Davis, Alarming Middle started to create music from the garage of Clark’s house. Their music was first discovered by an indie record label scout while performing at a local music festival, and they were signed on the spot. The band’s foundational chemistry has always been their common love for the ‘alarming middle’ of life, that twilight zone between dreams and reality, youth and maturity, freedom and responsibility.

Alarming Middle is known for its unique blend of alternative rock and post-punk revival, with strong influences from 90s grunge.
