Amusing Poison

Backstory:
Amusing Poison was born in the gritty back alleys of Toronto. The band was formed in 2010 by a group of high school misfits bound together by a passion for music that strikes a chord in the very soul. The group comprises four members: lead vocalist and guitarist Alex “AJ” Jonsson, bass player and backing vocalist Milo Green, explosive drummer Sam “Whiplash” Crosby, and eccentric keyboardist Eris Martin. For the course of a decade, the bandmates have shared more than just music; they’ve shared a journey of self-discovery and determination, expressed through their ever-evolving sound. Despite numerous obstacles and the typical tribulations of young adulthood, the band’s dedication to their craft and each other persevered, allowing them to rise from tormented teenagers to respected musicians on the indie music scene.

Title:
“Drowning in Daylight”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
G D Am C
I found myself lost, In the echoes of the night,
G D Am C
Chasing shadows, In the corners of my mind,

(Chorus)
G D Am C
Crying out to the sun, Drowning in daylight,
G D Am C
Running from yesterday, Into the arms of tonight,

(Verse 2)
G D Am C
We’re broken mirrors, Reflecting shattered dreams,
G D Am C
But the fragments form, A mosaic unseen,

(Chorus)
G D Am C
Crying out to the sun, Drowning in daylight,
G D Am C
Running from yesterday, Into the arms of tonight,

(Bridge)
G D Am C
And in the silence, We find our truth,
G D Am C
In the echoes of the heart, We find our youth,

(Chorus)
G D Am C
Crying out to the sun, Drowning in daylight,
G D Am C
Running from yesterday, Into the arms of tonight,

(Outro)
G D Am C
So here we stand, At the break of a new dawn,
G D Am C
No longer drowning, But bathed in the light of the morn.
