Ancient Pleasure

Backstory:
Ancient Pleasure is a four-member band that formed in the college town of Ann Arbor, Michigan, in 2011. The members were friends and fellow music students with diverse interests and influences who decided to combine their talents into one dynamic, eclectic sound. The band members include lead vocalist and guitarist Josh Taylor, bassist Kevin Sinclair, drummer Paul Donovan, and keyboardist and backup vocalist Emily Roberts. They found their unique sound in the fusion of their individual styles, creating unforgettable melodies and lyrics that resonate on a deep, emotional level.

The band initially started by playing in local bars and college events, and their enchanting sound quickly gained them a loyal local following. Their first breakthrough came in 2013 when they were invited to play at a regional music festival, and their performance was so well-received that it attracted the attention of a talent scout from a record label. Since then, Ancient Pleasure’s reach has expanded, and they are now known throughout the East Coast and beyond.

Song Title:
“Echoes of Eternity”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Gmaj Em D C
Under the moonlight, we dance without a worry,
Gmaj Em D C
In the wilderness of youth, time is never in a hurry.
Gmaj Em D C
Free spirits chasing dreams, through nights that never end,
Gmaj Em D C
Hand in hand we journey, my confidante, my friend.

(Chorus)
Gmaj Em D C
Echoes of eternity, whisper in the wind,
Gmaj Em D C
Reminding us to live, to love, and to sin.
Gmaj Em D C
Stars above keep secrets, of our untamed desire,
Gmaj Em D C
In the echoes of eternity, we set the world on fire.

(Verse 2)
Gmaj Em D C
In the heart of the night, under a canopy of stars,
Gmaj Em D C
We’ve traveled far together, in the backseat of old cars.
Gmaj Em D C
Running from the mundane, into the arms of the unknown,
Gmaj Em D C
In the echoes of eternity, we’ve found a place to call our own.

(Repeat Chorus)

Fan Testimonial:
The band’s favorite fan is Sarah Thompson. She’s a twenty-something graphic designer who followed the band since their early days in Ann Arbor. “Ancient Pleasure isn’t just a band for me,” Sarah says, “They’re the soundtrack of my life. There’s always a song that resonates with what I’m going through. ‘Echoes of Eternity’ takes me back to my carefree college days, and I feel a sense of nostalgia and peace every time I hear it. It’s like they’ve captured the magic of youth and transformed it into music. Their songs have an emotional depth that’s hard to find these days. Ancient Pleasure is my favorite band because they’re not just musicians, they’re storytellers, and I’m listening to every word.”
