Ancient Pressure came together in the labyrinthine streets of New Orleans in 2015. The four members- guitarist Ethan “Steel” Stroud, bassist Brad “Bassrider” Harper, drummer Alex “Whiplash” Wilcox, and vocalist Lucy “Velvet” Morrow – were all seasoned musicians who had been part of the city’s bustling music scene for years. Their shared love for vintage rock and modern tweaks led them to create a band that would breathe fresh life into a genre they all hold dear. Their unique blend of classic rock with modern elements coupled with thought-provoking lyrics made them an instant hit among local music enthusiasts.
After gaining popularity in underground clubs and music festivals across the country, Ancient Pressure landed a record contract in 2017. Their debut album “Timeless Echoes” was a commercial success, garnering rave reviews from critics and fans alike.
