Backstory:
Anguished Potato originated in the small town of Madison, Indiana, where the band members were neighbors and childhood friends. The group consists of lead singer Jason ‘Spud’ Murphy, guitarist Patrick ‘Tater’ O’Reilly, drummer Sarah ‘Yukon’ Gold, and bassist Kevin ‘Russet’ O’Hara. They were inspired to form a band after bonding over their mutual love for music and an inside joke about an overly dramatic potato they’d created in art class. Anguished Potato quickly gained local fame and soon after, their unique sound and style captured the attention of a larger audience.

Anguished Potato’s music can be described as a fusion of Indie Rock and Folk Pop with a pinch of quirky humor. They have a distinctive sound that blends melodic guitar riffs, powerful drum beats, and poignant lyrics delivered with raw emotion.
