Backstory:
Any Knife was formed in a rundown garage at the outskirts of New York City in 2008 by a group of childhood friends: Jacob “Jake” Flynne on vocals, Zachary “Zack” Stone on guitar, Davis “Davo” Miles on bass, and Hector “Hex” Lawrence on drums. The name “Any Knife” was inspired by a moment of frustration during their first jam session when they couldn’t open a can of beans for dinner – Jake had quipped, “At this point, any knife will do!” and the name stuck.
They started playing in local bars and small music festivals, gaining a dedicated following with their unique blend of music. After a few years of honing their sound, they were discovered by a major label agent who happened to be in the neighborhood bar one night. The agent was impressed by their unpolished, raw energy and soulful lyrics, and signed them. The band has since released three successful studio albums, each of which has helped them to carve out their unique identity in the music scene.
Genre:
Any Knife’s music style can be best described as Alternative Rock with a fusion of Blues and Punk.

Fan Testimonial:
My name is Emily Thompson. I have been a dedicated fan of Any Knife since their early days playing in local bars. Their music, raw and honest, speaks to me like no other band does. It’s like they ripped out pages from my own life story and turned them into beautiful, soul-stirring songs. They are more than just a band to me, they feel like part of my life and my identity. I can always count on their music to lift me up on my worst days and make my best days even better. I look forward to many more years of their music.
