Backstory:
Artistic Ref is a band that emerged from the bustling streets of New York City. The band was formed in the spring of 2010, when the four members – James Parker, Sasha Bennett, Edward Ross and Michael Reynolds – met at a local open mic night. There they discovered a shared love of music, a common sense of humor, and an uncanny musical chemistry. The name ‘Artistic Ref’ was inspired by their shared philosophy of creating music that is a reflection of their individual experiences and perspectives.
Initially, they started performing at local bars and clubs before gradually making their way to larger music festivals. Their unique sound, combined with their energetic performances, created a buzz that extended beyond their home city. Despite the struggles and obstacles that came their way, they remained committed to their artistic integrity, consistently delivering music that resonates with their fans.
