Backstory:
Awful Linen came into existence in 2016, born out of the quirky and creative minds of three college roommates from New York City. Aiming to do something out of the box, they transformed their cramped dorm room into a small music studio where they would spend countless hours honing their unique sound. They quickly gained a reputation for their eclectic fashion sense, often wearing mismatched pajamas and thrift store finds on stage, hence the name ‘Awful Linen’.

The turning point for Awful Linen came when they won the ‘Big Apple Battle of the Bands’ in 2018. This win landed them a record deal with a small indie label, and they’ve been gaining traction ever since. Despite facing numerous struggles, their unapologetic authenticity and raw talent have made them a staple in the underground music scene, creating a devoted fanbase that appreciates their outlandish style and innovative music.
