Backstory:
Awkward Panic was formed in the early 2000s by a group of high-school friends in the mid-sized town of Davis, California. Each member cut their teeth in the local punk rock scene, honing their skills in garages and at school dances. As they grew older, they began to incorporate more alternative and indie influences into their music, creating a sound that was distinctly their own. They gained local popularity through high-energy performances and a connection to their fans that was unparalleled.
In 2006, their demo was discovered by a music executive who was in town visiting family, and Awkward Panic was signed to their first major record deal. Despite their sudden success, the band remained down-to-earth, continuing to engage with their fan base and staying true to their unique style.

“Roaming Shadows”
Full song lyrics:
(Verse 1)
G D
Roaming shadows, in the night,
Em C
Chasing echoes, out of sight.
G D
We wander aimlessly, in fear,
Em C
Hoping that the dawn is near.
(Chorus)
G D
Awkward Panic, in our hearts,
Em C
We’re tearing all our dreams apart.
G D
We’re running but we’re standing still,
Em C
Caught in the crossfire of our will.
(Verse 2)
G D
Daylight’s breaking, on the shore,
Em C
Still we’re seeking, something more.
G D
Lost in thoughts that sting like rain,
Em C
We’re drenched in echoes of our pain.
(Chorus)
G D
Awkward Panic, in our hearts,
Em C
We’re tearing all our dreams apart.
G D
We’re running but we’re standing still,
Em C
Caught in the crossfire of our will.

Testimonial:
“I’ve been following Awkward Panic since their early days playing at school dances. Their music speaks to me on a level that no other band has before. The raw emotion and authenticity in their lyrics touches my heart. Despite their success, they’ve remained grounded and continue to engage with their fans. They even remembered my name when I met them after a concert! Awkward Panic isn’t just my favorite band because of their music, they’re my favorite because they make their fans feel like part of their journey.”
