Once five college friends, Babyish Number found its beginning at the humble campus of the University of California, Berkeley. Each member, originally studying a different discipline, found a common interest in music and decided to form a band. It began as just a hobby, and they would perform at college events and local pubs. However, their unique sound caught the attention of an indie record label executive in one of their shows, leading to their first record deal.

Babyish Number is known for their eclectic blend of sounds, drawing inspiration from various genres and their college backgrounds. They have a unique ability to weave intricate narratives into their songs, making their listeners feel a part of the story.
