Barren Circle

Backstory:
Barren Circle was formed on the outskirts of Austin, Texas in 2015, when high school friends, lead vocalist Blake Dawson and lead guitarist Adrian Smith, started jamming out in their parents’ garages. After a series of backyard gigs, the duo was joined by drummer Eliza Howard and bassist Luke Gomez. They found commonality in their love for rock and together, they embraced their love for raw, unfiltered music, creating an atmosphere that resonates with their listeners on a personal level. Title:
“Echoes of the Void”

Full song lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Em G
In the shadows of the night, where we used to roam,
D A
Our laughter filling the air, now it’s just a ghost.
Em G
The landscape changed, our playground’s torn,
D A
I look around, feeling lost, feeling forlorn.

(Chorus)
C G
Echoes of the void, resonate in me,
D Em
Our barren circle, lost in a forgotten sea.
C G
I’m reaching out, can you still hear my voice,
D Em
In the echoes of the void, I made my choice.

(Verse 2)
Em G
Our footprints faded, washed by the rain,
D A
A silent testimony to our joy, our pain.
Em G
Empty swings sway, in the chilling wind,
D A
Our shared memories, where have they been pinned?

(Chorus)
C G
Echoes of the void, reverberate in the silence,
D Em
Our barren circle, marked by our defiance.
C G
I’m searching, for our echoes in the noise,
D Em
In the echoes of the void, we made our choice.

(Outro)
Em G
Echoes, echoes, in the void,
D A
Echoes, echoes, our circle destroyed.

“Barren Circle has been my favorite band since their debut. Their music is raw, honest, and relatable, and it speaks to me on a personal level. ‘Echoes of the Void’ perfectly encapsulates the feeling of loss and longing, something I’ve struggled with for a long time. Their music has helped me navigate through some of the toughest times of my life. Barren Circle isn’t just a band to me, they’re like friends who understand me without saying a word.”
