Backstory:

Belated Committee was formed in the heart of Seattle during the chilly winter months of 2008. The band was comprised of five childhood friends – lead vocalist Alex Parker, lead guitarist Jason Harper, bassist Nick Thompson, drummer Mike Wilson, and keyboardist Sarah Anderson. They were all in different careers, and with a common love for music, they decided to start a band as an after work hobby. They began by playing at local bars and small gigs, but their unique sound quickly started attracting larger audiences. The name ‘Belated Committee’ was born out of their frequent late-night jam sessions and the democratic way in which they made decisions about their songwriting and performances.

The band’s music can be best described as Indie Rock with a touch of folk and a dab of soul, creating a distinct, appealing sound.
