Big-Hearted Animal

Backstory:
Big-Hearted Animal was founded in the heart of Portland, Oregon, in 2011. The band consists of four members: guitarist and lead vocalist, Blake ‘Grizzly’ Johnson, pianist and backup vocalist, Emily ‘Fawn’ Barker, bassist, Marcus ‘Wolf’ Harper, and drummer, Aidan ‘Hawk’ Sullivan. They all had their individual music careers before they decided to merge their talents into one entity. Their band name was inspired by their shared love for nature and animals, and their desire to contribute to the preservation of wildlife.

In their early days, Big-Hearted Animal played gigs in local bars and venues, drawing in crowds with their unique sound and heartfelt lyrics. Their popularity began to rise when their song, ‘Cry of the Wild,’ was picked up by a local radio station. From there, it was a whirlwind of recording, touring, and making a name for themselves in the music industry. Their dedication to the protection and awareness of wildlife remains a central theme in their music and public presence.

Song Title:
‘Echoes of the Forest’

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
G C
In the heart of the timberland, under the canopy,
D G
Where the whispering leaves tell stories,
G C
Lives the soul of the wild, free and untamed,
D G
In the song of the wind, it carries.

(Chorus)
Em C
Echoes of the forest, ring out in the night,
G D
An anthem of freedom, under the moonlight.
Em C
Calling us home, where the wild things roam,
G D
In the echoes of the forest, we find our delight.

(Verse 2)
G C
A symphony of life, in every rustling leaf,
D G
In the hoot of the owl, in the deer’s gentle leap.
G C
In the heart of the wilderness, lives a melody,
D G
In the echoes of the forest, we are free.

(Chorus)
Em C
Echoes of the forest, sing out loud and clear,
G D
A serenade of nature, for those who choose to hear.
Em C
Calling us back, to the undying track,
G D
In the echoes of the forest, we hold dear.
