Backstory:
Blissful Railway, initially formed back in 2008, is the brainchild of long-time friends and creative partners, Johnathan “Jazz” Jacobson and Stella “Star” Harding. Childhood neighbors with a shared love for music, Jazz and Star often found themselves doodling melodies on their back porch. As they grew older, their shared passion for music blossomed into a full-fledged dream of forming a band. The name ‘Blissful Railway’ was inspired by the railway tracks near their childhood homes, which they viewed as an avenue to their blissful dreams of music. The band quickly expanded to include drummer Rex Bennett, and bassist Gavin Thompson, completing the harmonious quartet.
Genre:
Blissful Railway is primarily a folk-rock band with a hint of country twang, inspired by great legends like Bob Dylan and Neil Young. Their music often combines thought-provoking lyrics with complex guitar riffs, flavored by Star’s enchanting fiddle melodies.
