Bogus Fairy

Backstory:
Bogus Fairy was created one fateful night in 2012 when four friends dared to dream of creating music that defied conventions. Sam ‘Strings’ Clarke, a folk guitarist, Martin ‘Bass’ Bracknell, a punk-rock bassist, Penny ‘Keys’ Foster, a classically trained pianist, and Dave ‘Drums’ Connolly, a jazz drummer, found themselves reminiscing about their favorite songs in a dingy pub in Manchester, England. After several pints, they began to improvise together, discovering an unexpected harmony between their disparate styles. Energized by their unique blend of musical styles and backgrounds, Bogus Fairy was born.

Through the years, Bogus Fairy has refused to be pigeonholed into any one music style. Their sound has been described as a sonic roller-coaster, fusing folk, punk, classical, and jazz into a melodic whirlwind that draws listeners in and holds them captive. The band’s commitment to exploration, innovation, and the pure joy of creation has endeared them to fans worldwide.

Title:
“Canvas of Dreams”

Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[G] Late at night when the [C] world is asleep,
[G] We tune our strings and [D7] secrets we keep,
[C] Painting a canvas with [G] dreams in the deep,
[Em] Lost in the echoes of [D] melodies we reap.

(Chorus)
[G] We are Bogus Fairy, [C] we are the night,
[G] We dance in the shadows, [D7] out of sight,
[C] In the canvas of dreams, [G] we take flight,
[Em] Singing our song in the [D] soft moonlight.

(Verse 2)
[G] Strings and keys, [C] drums and bass,
[G] We’ve found a rhythm in this [D7] timeless space,
[C] In our music, different worlds [G] interlace,
[Em] We are Bogus Fairy, welcome to our [D] embrace.

(Chorus)
[G] We are Bogus Fairy, [C] we are the night,
[G] We dance in the shadows, [D7] out of sight,
[C] In the canvas of dreams, [G] we take flight,
[Em] Singing our song in the [D] soft moonlight.

The band’s favorite fan:
Sue Ellen, a librarian from Manchester, has followed Bogus Fairy since their inception. She was the first one to hear them play in their local pub and has followed their journey, attending every gig and buying every album. In her words:

“Bogus Fairy isn’t just a band to me, they are a beautiful, chaotic symphony of diverse sounds. Their music has seen me through some tough times. It’s like they’re painting a ‘Canvas of Dreams’ with their art, and I feel privileged to witness it. Their refusal to be boxed into a genre is liberating. It reassures me that it’s okay to be different and that different can be extraordinary. Their music is like a balm to the soul, and I will forever be a fan.”
