Bony Grade

Backstory:
Hailing from the misty hills of North Carolina, “Bony Grade” was born in the basement of a log cabin. Founding members, lead vocalist James ‘Jimbo’ Hawkins and drummer Sammy ‘Stickman’ Serrano, were childhood friends who grew up on a shared love for music and campfire stories. After high school, the duo’s paths bifurcated with Jimbo venturing into the world of folk music and Stickman diving into the hard-hitting world of rock. The pair reunited in their hometown in 2014, deciding to merge their distinct musical backgrounds to create a unique blend of sound. Adding bassist Leah ‘Bass Queen’ McKnight and guitarist Ricky ‘Riffmaster’ Reynolds to the lineup, Bony Grade was complete. Their music is a reflection of their shared memories, hometown stories, and the rustic wilderness that surrounded them.

Genre:
Bony Grade’s music can be described as Folk Rock with influences of Blues.

Verse 1:
[G] Woke up this morning to a [D] whiskey sunrise,
[Em] Echoing memories of [C] your soft lies.

[G] Whiskey sunrise, [D] setting me free,

Verse 2:
[G] Broken bottles, [D] empty as my heart,
[Em] You left me stranded [C] right from the start.

Chorus:
[G] Whiskey sunrise, [D] setting me free,
[Em] Bathed in your light, [C] what do I see?
