Backstory:
Forged in the rustic heartlands of Kentucky, Bowed Back emerged from the early morning mists of the Bluegrass state. The band’s core members, brothers Jake and Jesse Bowden, spent their childhood immersed in the area’s deep-rooted music culture, their musical education shaped by the soulful sounds of gospel choirs, the toe-tapping rhythms of bluegrass jamborees, and the heart-tugging narratives of country ballads. Formed in 2012, Bowed Back was birthed from the brothers’ desire to create their unique blend of music that would touch people’s soul while staying true to their roots.

The Long Haul
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[G] Down the dusty roads of old [D] Kentucky,
[C] Two boys learned to play, oh how they were [G] lucky.
[G] Mama’s singin’ gospel, Papa’s strummin’ [D] chords,
[C] Music in our veins, the language of the [G] Lords.
(Chorus)
[G] We’re on the long haul [D] journey,
[C] Playing our hearts out, setting our spirits [G] free.
[G] Through the highs and lows, [D] rain or shine,
[C] Love for the music, it’s a bond that’ll never [G] decline.
(Verse 2)
[G] From the front porch jams to the big [D] stage,
[C] Every strum, every song, every lyric on the [G] page.
[G] We’ve walked a million miles, played a thousand [D] shows,
[C] The music keeps us grounded, it’s the only life we [G] know.
(Chorus)
[G] We’re on the long haul [D] journey,
[C] Playing our hearts out, setting our spirits [G] free.
[G] Through the highs and lows, [D] rain or shine,
[C] Love for the music, it’s a bond that’ll never [G] decline.

Testimonial:
“Oh, there’s a sincerity in Bowed Back’s music that just resonates with me like no other band’s does. I’ve been a loyal follower since their first show in our small town fair. Their music is like a warm blanket on a cold, lonely night. It’s like they’ve found a way to put the soul of Kentucky, with all its beauty and hardships, into their melodies and lyrics. It’s the kind of music that makes you feel like you’re home, even when you’re miles away. There’s no match to the bond I feel with Bowed Back, they’re not just my favorite band, they’re like family to me.”
