Backstory:
Brisk Writer was born out of a chance meeting between two aspiring musicians in a downtown Seattle coffeehouse. Brian and Sarah, each struggling to carve out their own paths in the music industry, discovered a shared love for raw, emotive lyrics and the power of storytelling through sound. A few jam sessions and late-night writing stints later, the duo decided to form a band. Brisk Writer was born, a nod to the fast-paced, caffeinated environment that brought them together.
Over time, they added three more members to the band: a drummer, a bassist, and a keyboardist. What started as a fleeting idea in the bustling coffeehouse came to life as an energetic powerhouse of soulful melodies and captivating lyrics. The band’s favorite fan is a young woman named Lily. “Brisk Writer’s music is the soundtrack of my life. It’s like they’ve taken my thoughts, feelings, and experiences and transformed them into beautiful, powerful songs. I first discovered them in my sophomore year of college during a tough time in my life. Their songs helped me find strength and hope. I’ll always be grateful for their music,” says Lily, who has attended every single one of their concerts within a 100-mile radius.
