Backstory:
Born in the gritty, industrial heart of Sheffield, England, the four members of ‘Broken Teeth’ were childhood friends who shared a deep love for music. Each member found their unique calling in the eccentric nooks of their city’s vibrant music culture. Lead vocalist, Ian ‘Smash’ Thornton, spent his teens belting out lyrics in the city’s underground punk scenes, while lead guitarist, Damon ‘Grinder’ Clarke explored the blues, haunting the dark corners of Sheffield’s smoky bars. The rhythm section was filled by Tommy ‘Cuspid’ O’Donnell on bass, who drew inspiration from the pulsating beats of the city’s thriving rave culture, and drummer, Joe ‘Molar’ Collins, who cut his teeth in the rock scene. Their individual experiences collided to form a band that is as elusive as it is enthralling, and thus, Broken Teeth was born.
The band quickly gained attention for their electrifying performances and their uncanny ability to blend a variety of genres into a sound truly their own. Their raw, emotive lyrics resonated with a generation that felt the bruising impact of a rapidly changing world, and their music offered a cathartic outlet for their audience’s pent-up frustrations.

Title:
“Steel City Blues”
Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
G C D
In the depths of Steel City, under smokestack skies,
G C D
Where the grit and the grime paint a lullaby,
G C D
Battered souls seeking solace, in the neon glow,
G C D
Dancing with demons, lost in the undertow.
(Chorus)
Em C G D
We’re singing Steel City Blues, no shining lights, no silver spoons,
Em C G D
Just Broken Teeth, in the face of truth, singing the Steel City Blues.
(Verse 2)
G C D
In the heart of the night, where dreams come to fray,
G C D
The melody of the misfits, playing their hearts away.
G C D
In rhythm of rebellion, in the echo of despair,
G C D
Find the sound of salvation, in the smoky city air.
(Chorus)
Em C G D
We’re singing Steel City Blues, no shining lights, no silver spoons,
Em C G D
Just Broken Teeth, in the face of truth, singing the Steel City Blues.
