“Whiskey Sunsets”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
[G]Underneath the whiskey sunsets, [C]southern winds blowin’ in your hair,
[G]Meet me by the old oak tree where [D]words of love we used to share.
[C]Your eyes outshone the Texas stars, [G]your laughter, the sweetest melody,
[D]That night you swore you’d be my girl, [G]underneath the old oak tree.

(Chorus)
[C]Whiskey sunsets, [G]summer love and sweet regrets,
[D]Promises we made together, [G]in the shade of the old oak tree.
[C]When the night falls, [G]I still hear your echo call,
[D]Underneath the whiskey sunsets, [G]that’s where you’ll always be.

(Verse 2)
[G]Years have passed, you moved away, [C]left behind our little town,
[G]But when the sun dips low I’m back [D]to the past, can’t seem to put it down.
[C]I miss your smile, I miss your touch, [G]your voice whispering to me,
[D]I’m still waiting by the old oak tree, [G]where our love was meant to be.

(Chorus)
[C]Whiskey sunsets, [G]memories I won’t forget,
[D]I still see you standing there, [G]underneath the old oak tree.
[C]In my heartache, [G]I still feel each promise break,
[D]Underneath the whiskey sunsets, [G]that’s where you’ll always be.
