Backstory:
Candid Sack was initially just a group of college buddies from the University of Texas who shared a dorm and a passion for music. Lead vocalist and guitarist, Eddie Walker, bassist, Sam Collins, and drummer, Jake Stevens, would often fill their dorm with their concoctions of rock-infused blues, earning them a small fanbase within the university. However, their breakthrough came after their spontaneous decision to perform at a local open mic night. The positive reception led to more gigs, the release of their first album, and ultimately, the formation of Candid Sack.

The band’s name was born out of a joke. Eddie’s habit of carrying his guitar around in a burlap sack earned him the nickname ‘Sack’. The term ‘candid’ was added as a nod to their raw, straightforward sound and lyrics. Candid Sack came to symbolize their dedication to authentic music and their down-to-earth personalities.
