Backstory:
Cheap Democracy came into fruition in the small town of Ashtown, Wyoming. The band was formed by four childhood friends – Chris (vocals), Mike (drums), Sam (guitar), and Alex (bass) – who connected over their shared love for music and strong political beliefs. As they grew older, their passion for socio-political issues grew stronger, leading them to use music as their platform for expressing their perspectives. The band’s name, ‘Cheap Democracy’, reflects their critique of what they regard as the superficial nature of modern-day political systems.
Genre:
Cheap Democracy primarily focuses on Alternative Rock, with a tinge of Punk and Grunge elements.

Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[G] One man’s voice in the [D] silence,
[Em] Echoing through the [C] void,
[G] Lost in a sea of [D] indifference,
[Em] His message [C] destroyed.
(Chorus)
But [G] he won’t back [D] down,
In the face of [Em] deceit, he’ll [C] stand his ground,
[G] He’ll scream, he’ll [D] shout,
Until the [Em] truth comes [C] out.
(Verse 2)
[G] He stands against the [D] powerful,
[Em] Stripped of his rights, he’s [C] torn,
[G] But his spirit’s [D] unconquerable,
[Em] In defiance, a [C] hero is born.
(Chorus)
And [G] he won’t back [D] down,
In the face of [Em] deceit, he’ll [C] stand his ground,
[G] He’ll scream, he’ll [D] shout,
Until the [Em] truth comes [C] out.
(Bridge)
[G] One man’s voice can [D] shake the walls,
[Em] Break the chains, defy the [C] laws,
[G] A beacon in the [D] darkest night,
[Em] A flame burning [C] bright.
(Chorus)
And [G] he won’t back [D] down,
In the face of [Em] deceit, he’ll [C] stand his ground,
[G] He’ll scream, he’ll [D] shout,
Until the [Em] truth comes [C] out.
(Outro)
[G] His voice will echo [D] through the ages,
[Em] A testament to [C] courage and truth,
[G] In the pages of [D] history,
[Em] One man’s voice [C] can move.
Fan Testimonial:
Cheap Democracy’s biggest fan is a social studies teacher named Molly. She says, “Their music resonates with me on many levels. As someone who teaches about democracy and political systems, I appreciate their nuanced critique of the system. But more than their messages, it’s their raw, alternative rock sound that truly captivates me. The energy, the passion, the unfiltered emotion – it’s all so beautifully real. They are without a doubt my favorite band.”
