Cheap Face

Backstory:

Cheap Face originates from the heart of Detroit, Michigan. Formed in the early 2000s, the band is an eclectic mix of high school friends, who found solace in their shared love for music amidst the rusted ruins of the once-booming car city. The lead singer, Joey “Cheap” Morrison, was known for his love for vintage markets where he found his peculiar yet iconic collection of masks. This led to the moniker ‘Cheap Face’, representing their raw, unfiltered music layered with an enigmatic persona.

Their journey was not smooth sailing. The band saw many highs and lows, but their resilience brought them together even more. Their music is imbued with the spirit of rebellion, the pain of heartbreak, and a longing for something more, which resonates with their fans worldwide.

Title: “Neon Highway”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
C G D Em
Driving down this neon highway, under the midnight sky
C G D Em
Lost in the city’s chaos, searching for a lullaby
C G D Em
Skyscrapers hide the stars, but the moon is on our side
C G D Em
Chasing dreams in our old cars, until the morning light

(Chorus)
C G D Em
Oh, in this neon highway, we find our way
C G D Em
Through the noise and the crowd, we sway
C G D Em
In the mirror of the night, we see our face
C G D Em
Under the city lights, we embrace

(Verse 2)
C G D Em
In the rearview, leaving a trail of forgotten past
C G D Em
With each mile, we’re building a future so vast
C G D Em
This neon highway, it’s our map, our guide
C G D Em
In this urban ocean, it’s our midnight tide

(Chorus)
C G D Em
Oh, in this neon highway, we find our song
C G D Em
With the city’s rhythm, we belong
C G D Em
In the mirror of the night, we see our face
C G D Em
Under the city lights, we embrace
