Backstory:
Cheerful Hole emerged from the vibrant music scene of Austin, Texas, back in 2012, as a group of five friends who shared a love for creating a unique blend of music. The quintet, led by charismatic frontman Joe ‘Captain’ Kessel, includes guitar virtuoso Lee ‘Lightning’ Johnson, the dynamic duo of keyboardist Amy ‘Ginger’ Gonzales and bassist, Mark ‘Slowhand’ Simon, and the rhythmic powerhouse, drummer Pete ‘The Beat’ Thompson.

The band’s journey began in a garage, filled with junk and instruments, where the friends would jam late into the night, creating a sound that was not only infectious but also innovative. Their breakout hit, ‘Starlight Gypsy,’ catapulted them into the limelight almost overnight and has been their trademark ever since.
