Backstory:
Cheery Court, a band of four high school friends from the small town of Mystic Springs, Minnesota, started off as merely a hobby that they indulged in during their weekend gatherings. Their lead vocalist, Rosie, was a hauntingly soulful singer who had a knack for writing profound lyrics. Jasper, the drummer, was a rhythm genius who could make music from anything that had a beat. Adam, their bassist, was the glue that held them together with his funky, groovy beats, and Leo was a virtuoso on the guitar. As they started performing for their school events, they discovered their shared love for the same kind of music and decided to take this love to the next level. The band’s name, Cheery Court, was inspired by the cheerful, old cul-de-sac they would gather at to jam and create their music.

“Lost in the Echo”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1 – Gm, Eb, Bb, F)
(Gm) Lost in a city, (Eb) bright neon lights,
(Bb) Walked the streets till the (F) day turned to night.
(Gm) Wondering aimlessly, (Eb) feeling so low,
(Bb) I’m just a voice, (F) lost in the echo.
(Chorus – Dm, C, Bb, A)
(Dm) But I’ll keep singing my (C) song,
(Bb) Till someone hears, it won’t be (A) long.
(Dm) I’ll break free from the (C) crowd,
(Bb) I won’t be just another (A) echo, I’ll be loud.
(Verse 2 – Gm, Eb, Bb, F)
(Gm) Drowning in noise, (Eb) losing myself,
(Bb) Becoming a part of the (F) city’s wealth.
(Gm) But I won’t stay silent, (Eb) I won’t let go,
(Bb) I refuse to be (F) lost in the echo.
(Chorus – Dm, C, Bb, A)
(Dm) So, I’ll keep singing my (C) song,
(Bb) I know it won’t be (A) long.
(Dm) I’ll shine bright, won’t be (C) outshone,
(Bb) I won’t be just another (A) echo, I’ll be known.
