Backstory:
Clear Declaration was born in the vibrant music scene of Austin, Texas, in the summer of 2008. The band’s four members – lead vocalist and guitarist Jake Radcliffe, bassist Tom Simmons, drummer Max ‘Thunder’ Clark, and keyboardist Lily Harper – all came from different musical backgrounds but found common ground in their shared love for authenticity and storytelling through music. The band’s name, Clear Declaration, reflects their commitment to transparency and honesty in their lyrical narratives. After playing in local venues and gradually gaining a devoted fanbase, they hit the road in 2010, opening for established acts and steadily making their name known on a national level.

Genre:
Clear Declaration’s sound is best described as Alternative Rock with a twist of Folk. They are known for their gritty, guitar-driven melodies infused with subtle, folky undertones and thought-provoking lyrics. Their songs are a dynamic blend of angst and introspection, raw emotions, and polished musicality.

The band’s favorite fan is Sarah Collins, a school teacher from Austin. Sarah has been supporting Clear Declaration since their early days playing in local bars.
