Backstory:
Clueless Student originated in the bustling college town of Austin, Texas, where the four members met during a campus-wide talent show at the University of Texas in the fall of 2011. The band consists of lead singer and guitarist Jason “Jazz” Anderson, drummer Karl “KJ” Jenkins, bassist Lenny “Lil’ Lenny” Williams, and keyboardist Sylvia “Syl” Reynolds. What started as a dorm room jam session quickly spun into a serious endeavor when their cover of a classic rock song went viral on the university’s social media page.
Their shared love for music and their collective frustration with the trials and tribulations of college life became the foundation of their music. In an ironic twist, they named their band Clueless Student to reflect their shared experience and to connect with their mostly student fans who were also facing the same issues.
