Considerate Nose

Backstory:

Considerate Nose was born in the heart of Bristol, England circa 2007. Childhood friends, Barry Thompson (vocals, guitar) and Simon Jennings (drums), had spent their youth covering tracks from their musical idols in the confines of their garage turned home-studio. They decided to take it one step further, recruiting schoolmate Lisa Parr (bass) and local violin prodigy Anna Whitaker to add an eclectic edge. In the following years, the band would go from playing small local gigs to becoming a beloved indie staple across the UK, their unique sound capturing hearts and making heads bob.

Their rise to popularity was a rare kind of grassroots movement, fueled by word-of-mouth and their dynamic, heartfelt performances. Their debut album, ‘Life Through the Looking Glass,’ was a hit on the indie circuit, and they have continued to gather momentum with each subsequent release. They are known for their energetic live shows and deep, meaningful lyrics, reflecting on life, love, and the pursuit of happiness.

Title:

“City Sidewalk Serenade”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
C Am Em G
Down the city sidewalk, under streetlight’s glow,
Eager hearts beating, where will we go?
Pockets full of dreams, minds buzzing on high,
Chasing every star we see, in the midnight sky.

(Chorus)
D G C Em
Sing loud, sing clear, serenade the night,
Love is the melody, and you’re the light.
In this city sidewalk serenade, we’re free,
Sailing on the rhythm, of you and me.

(Verse 2)
C Am Em G
With each beat, our souls intertwine,
Under the silver moon, your hand in mine.
The city hums our song, in its heart it keeps,
As we dance to the rhythm, of its concrete beats.

(Chorus)
D G C Em
Sing loud, sing clear, serenade the sky,
With a song of love, under the city lights.
In this city sidewalk serenade, we’re free,
Dancing on the rhythm, of you and me.

(Bridge)
G Em C D
Tonight, we’re painting dreams on the city canvas,
In the melody of the night, we find our purpose.

(Chorus)
D G C Em
Sing loud, sing clear, serenade the night,
Love is the melody, and you’re the light.
In this city sidewalk serenade, we’re free,
Sailing on the rhythm, of you and me.

The lyrics, the rhythm, it’s all so personal and relatable. Barry’s voice has a way of wrapping around you like a warm blanket and their performances always leave me feeling uplifted.
