Backstory:
Corrupt Time was conceived in the heart of New York’s underground music scene during the late 2000s. The band evolved from a group of disgruntled college friends with a shared love for punk-rock and late-night jam sessions. They found solace and expression in their music, venting their frustrations about the world around them. Their name, Corrupt Time, is a nod towards their angsty perspective of the changing times and the perceived decay of society.
The members include lead vocalist and bassist, Jasper ‘Jazz’ Mallory, drummer, Declan ‘Decks’ Powers, and guitarists, Aidan ‘Aces’ O’Reilly and Landon ‘Loops’ Patterson. They have been through thick and thin together, their bond cemented by their shared experiences, surviving the gritty New York music scene, and their dedication to creating music with an impact.

“Rusted Chains”
Full Song Lyrics:
[Verse 1]
Am – C – D – G
Am – C – D – G
(They say)
The world is changing, I don’t know why,
Am – C – D – G
We’re all just pawns under the corporate sky,
Am – C – D – G
Streets are grim, eyes are dry,
Am – C – D – G
In these rusted chains, we sigh.
[Chorus]
D – G – C – Am
D – G – C – Am
(Rise up)
Break these rusted chains, let’s fly,
D – G – C – Am
In the face of corrupt time, we’ll defy,
D – G – C – Am
With burning hearts and spirits high,
D – G – C – Am
Against the decay, we’ll testify.
[Verse 2]
Am – C – D – G
In the urban maze, we’ll find our way,
Am – C – D – G
In the noise, our punk-rock will play,
Am – C – D – G
With every chord, the world will sway,
Am – C – D – G
In the face of corrupt time, we’ll say.
[Chorus]
D – G – C – Am
Break these rusted chains, let’s thrive,
D – G – C – Am
In the face of corrupt time, we’ll drive,
D – G – C – Am
With our music, hope will revive,
D – G – C – Am
Against the decay, we’ll stay alive.
Favorite Fan:
The band’s favorite fan is a diehard punk rocker named Max Burton. Max first discovered Corrupt Time when they were playing a dingy basement show. He was instantly hooked by their raw energy and potent lyrics. He’s been to almost every one of their concerts since then, always front and center, singing along with fervor.
Testimonial:
“Corrupt Time isn’t just a band to me; they’re an anthem for my life. Their music is raw and gritty, but full of passion. It’s the voice of defiance against a world that seems increasingly bland and corporate. They inspire us to question, to resist, to create. In the face of corrupt time, they give us hope.”
