The band was formed in 2009 when lead vocalist and guitarist, Jake “Thorny” Thornfield met drummer, Marty “Root” Mitchell, at a local dive bar’s open mic night. Jake was belting out an original tune when Marty, moved by the raw emotion in his voice, decided to accompany him on the drums. The chemistry was undeniable, and the duo decided to join forces, later enlisting bassist, Lenny “Trunk” Turner, and keyboardist, Fiona “Leaf” Lawson, to complete their lineup.
