Backstory:
Crafty Coup had its genesis in the small, quiet town of Calverton, England. Founding members and childhood friends, Alex “Alley” Rogers and Rebecca “Becca” Thompson, spent their teenage years experimenting with music, meshing their contrasting tastes until they found a unique sound. After years of playing in basement gigs and local festivals, they encountered Jake “Jazzy” Peters and Emma “Em” Scott, two like-minded musicians who completed the quartet. They quickly bonded over their shared love for music and their ambition to create something fresh and unique. The band’s name, Crafty Coup, was inspired by their collective intent to stage a crafty coup in the world of music with their innovative sound.
