Crooked Ocean

Backstory:
Crooked Ocean was formed in the heart of Melbourne, Australia in 2013, when childhood friends Jacob “Jay” Harper and Noah Dean began experimenting with different music styles after college. As they honed their skills, they realized that their unique blend of folk and rock resonated with audiences. Jay, the lead vocalist, brought in his cousin, Charlotte “Charlie” Harper as a bassist, while Noah excelled as the band’s drummer. They were soon joined by keyboardist Ethan Bailey, which added a new flavor to their sound. The band started playing local gigs before they were discovered by a talent scout at one of their performances.

Their journey wasn’t easy, and they faced many challenges, but their love for music and their commitment to their unique sound kept them going. They were named ‘Crooked Ocean’ as a nod to the unpredictability of their journey, just like the ocean’s waves.

Fan’s Testimonial:
My name is Lily Thompson. I resonate with Crooked Ocean because their music is not just a blend of folk and rock; it tells a story, my story. Their lyrics paint vivid pictures of the trials, tribulations, hopes, and joys of life. It’s like they’re singing my life. Their songs help me to navigate through life. It’s like Jay, Noah, Charlie, and Ethan are my fellow sailors, helping me ride the waves of life. I feel a connection to their music on a deeply personal level and that’s why they are my favorite band.
