1. Backstory:
Crushing Reading came to existence in a raggedy suburban garage in the outskirts of Chicago, Illinois. Four high school friends named Benny, Kyle, Ethan, and Mark, who shared a mutual passion for music, found themselves constantly jamming after school hours. They decided to form a band in their Junior year of high school. The name “Crushing Reading” was ironically inspired by their shared disdain for their English literature classes. As a joke, they decided to name their band after the thing they least enjoyed doing, promising to make their music the exact opposite – enjoyable, engaging, and exciting.

After a few years of refining their skills and dabbling in different genres, Crushing Reading discovered their sound – a unique blend of punk rock and alternative metal. Their music was sharp, energetic, and heavy, resonating well with the rebellious spirit of their generation.
