Backstory:

‘Cylindrical Advertisement’ was born in the eclectic and colorful city of Austin, Texas, in the year 2012. Founding members, vocalist and guitar player, Glen Hartley, and drummer, Maxine Rhodes, were both graphic designers working for an advertising agency. The peculiar name of the band came from an inside joke at the office on a late, delirious night working on a project for a toilet paper company. Sharing a common love for music and bored from their 9 to 5 jobs, they decided to form a band as an outlet to express their creativity in a more fulfilling way. After recruiting bass player, Eli Thompson, and keyboardist, Sofia Barnes, from local open mic nights, ‘Cylindrical Advertisement’ started to take shape and garner a local following with their energetic performances and unique sound.
