Decent Watch

Backstory:

Decent Watch was formed in 2015 in a small town of New Hampshire by childhood friends, Troy Thompson and Luke Anderson. Both of them were school dropouts who shared a passion for music and an ambition to create something truly unique. The band gained a third member, Jackson Rogers, a year later. Jackson was an old friend and instrumentalist who had been playing local gigs and he brought a fresh perspective to the band’s early work. After playing several shows in their hometown, Decent Watch started receiving offers from clubs all over the state, and their journey to stardom began.

Genre:

Decent Watch’s music falls under the Alternative Rock genre. They have a unique sound that blends elements of grunge, punk, and pop. The band’s genuine lyrics, combined with their raw, energetic performances, set them apart from others in their genre.

Title:

“One Last Time”

Full song lyrics:

Verse:
[C] I’ve been [G] walking these streets alone,
[Am] Trying to find my [Em] way back home.
[F] Your memory is [C] all I own,
[G] A ghost I can’t seem to [C] disown.

Chorus:
[C] So let me see you [G] one last time,
[Am] Underneath that old [Em] streetlight.
[F] We’ll dance just like we [C] used to,
[G] Before the dawn breaks [C] into.

Verse:
[C] The [G] city sleeps in silent [Am] dreams,
[Em] But I’m awake with [F] memories it seems.
[C] Your laugh that echoes [G] in my mind,
[C] Is the only peace [G] I find.

Chorus:
[C] So let me hear you [G] one last time,
[Am] Whisper words that used to be [Em] mine.
[F] We’ll sing just like we [C] used to,
[G] Before the dawn breaks [C] into.

Bands favorite fan:

Our favorite fan is Sally Johnston. As a teenager, Sally was battling depression, and she found solace in Decent Watch’s music. She once wrote to the band saying, “Your music has given me the strength to face my darkest days. The raw emotion in your songs resonates with me, and I feel less alone. You guys are not just a band to me, but a beacon of hope.” Sally has attended every local concert and is known for her infectious energy and unwavering support for the band.
