Backstory:
Formed in the heart of Detroit in 1976, Deep Journey is a culmination of four marginalized musicians who found solace in music. Initially, the members came together as a means of escape from their individual hardships. The lead vocalist, Pete Falconer, was a former factory worker, whose singing talent was discovered by a colleague. The drummer, Frank “Thunderhand” Williams, grew up in a crime-ridden neighborhood and found rhythm in the chaos. The band’s guitarist, Johnny “Riffmaster” Baxter, was a self-taught prodigy, and the bassist, Sammy “Low-End” Mitchell, was a jazz enthusiast. Their unique backgrounds and shared love for music led to the formation of Deep Journey, a band that has since become a timeless symbol of resilience and passion.

Deep Journey had a rocky start, with the band struggling to gain recognition and break through the mainstream music scene.
