Backstory:

Definitive Occasion first came together in the vibrant music scene of Austin, Texas, in 2012. The band’s members, high school friends Jason “Jay” Lewis, Mike Jackson, and Sarah Watts, found a common thread in their love for music and decided to unite their eclectic musical tastes to create something truly unique. They spent their formative years playing in various local clubs and music festivals, gradually honing their sound and gaining a loyal following with their dynamic performances and heartfelt lyrics.

After their breakout performance at the South by Southwest music festival in 2015, Definitive Occasion was signed by indie label Moonstone Records. They’ve since released three critically acclaimed albums, toured nationally, and have grown to become one of the most respected bands on the indie music scene.
