Dense Interest is a band that formed serendipitously in 2014. The group’s founding members, Ben Leeds and Jake Mullins, met in a crowded dive bar in Austin, Texas. They were drawn to each other by a shared love of vintage vinyl records and a firm belief in the transformative power of music. After several jam sessions, they decided to form a band, a tribute to their eclectic tastes and an attempt to create something unique and compelling. They were joined by Mike Thompson on bass and Sarah Gilbert on drums, two old friends from high school who shared their musical vision.
