Dental Plastic

1. Dental Plastic, an alternative pop band from the vibrant streets of Toronto, Canada, was formed in 2016. The four-member band includes former dental students who ditched their white coats for a journey into the world of music. Lead vocalist Tanya ‘Molar’ Evans, drummer Don ‘Incisor’ Richards, guitarist Ian ‘Canine’ Smith, and bassist Maggie ‘Premolar’ Waters found common ground in their love for music and the idea of stepping outside their comfort zones. After a few successful local gigs, they started gaining recognition for their unconventional electro-infused sound and witty, dental-themed lyrics.

Verse 1:
(Em) Woke up this morning, with a (G) twinge in my heart,
(D) It’s not the usual, not another (A) tartar start.

(D) Bringing me pain, in an (A) oddly pleasant way.

Chorus:
(C) Braces of love, (G) pulling me closer,
(D) Aligning my heart, like a (A) pro-exposer.
(C) Braces of love, (G) metal and bright,
(D) Locking our hearts, in an (A) x-ray sight.

Verse 2:
(Em) Your smile’s a puzzle, with (G) gaps in between,
(D) But my heart’s the floss, filling (A) every unseen.
(Em) We’re like enamel and dentin, (G) separate yet one,
(D) Fighting the cavities, under the (A) setting sun.

(Repeat Chorus)

Bridge:
(F#m) In the dental chair of love, (G) there’s no anesthetics,

(D) Strengthening my heart, with every (A) beat.

(Repeat Chorus)
