Backstory:
Different Screen was formed in the bustling heart of New York in 2012. The band began as an experimental project between college friends – lead singer and guitarist, Jack Elliot, bassist, Kevin Morris, and drummer, Sam Kennedy. They spent countless nights in their cramped dorm room, bonding over the love of music, creating a fusion of sounds that were unique and unheard of. After winning a local band competition, the trio decided to take their music to the next level. They added a fourth member, Sarah James, a keyboardist, and backing vocalist, to complete their sound. With their unusual and refreshing mix of sounds, they took the underground music scene by storm, gaining a loyal fanbase and catching the attention of industry insiders.
