Different Year first took shape in a suburban basement in Ohio in 2013. At the heart of its formation were childhood friends Jonah Scott (vocals and guitar) and Dave Farley (drums), who had shared their love for music since they were in grade school. After high school, the duo decided to go beyond jamming in their basements and recruited skilled bassist, Liz Carter, and talented keyboardist, Mike Henderson. They started creating a unique blend of music that would resonate with a wide range of listeners. Their journey was not a bed of roses, but their shared passion and resilience brought them to where they stand today – with a solid fan base, a distinctive sound, and a name that signifies change, growth, and the constant evolution of life.
