Difficult Snow

Backstory:
Difficult Snow emerged from the frosty corners of a small Alaskan town in 2002 as an inexplicably alluring alternative rock band. The founders, twin brothers Robert and Daniel Haskins, initially employed their snowed-in, freezing winters to hone their musical skills. What began as a way to combat the cold and boredom soon turned into a reason for making music that could warm hearts far beyond their tiny town. They soon added their childhood friends, drummer Emily Morton and bassist Carl Reeves, to the mix. Their band name, ‘Difficult Snow’, came from their shared experience of surviving harsh Alaskan winters, also symbolizing the struggles they went through to find their unique sound.

Testimonial – Hannah

Hannah, a local librarian from their hometown, has been Difficult Snow’s biggest supporter from the very beginning. She fondly remembers the days when the band would practice in her library during the colder months. “Their music was the only thing that would bring warmth to those long, icy winters. It was like a beacon of hope in the snow. And now, even though they’ve got fans all around the world, they still play a special concert at the library every December. It’s a tradition, a gesture that shows they’ve never forgotten their roots. Difficult Snow isn’t just my favorite band because they make beautiful music. They’re my favorite because they’ve taught me the value of passion, perseverance, and never forgetting where you come from.”
