Dimpled Roof

Backstory:
Dimpled Roof is a band that was formed in the small town of Madison, Wisconsin, in 2001. The band includes four members: lead vocalist and guitarist Jack Burton, bassist Eddie Moore, drummer Sam Daniels, and keyboardist Lucy Allen. The members, at first, were just high school friends who loved jamming together. Jack, Eddie, and Sam were from the same class while Lucy was their senior. Their talent was discovered during a school talent show where they performed a piece they composed overnight and won. The positive response from the crowd inspired them to take their music to a professional level.

Genre:
Dimpled Roof’s music can be described as a unique blend of Indie Rock and Folk music. Their sound often features strong guitar chords, earthy drum beats, and poetic lyrics, which is a nod to their strong Folk influence.

Song title: “Raindrops on the Window”

Full song lyrics:

(Verse 1)
[C] Looking out the window, [G] see the raindrops fall,
[F] Thinking about you, do you [G] think of me at all?
[C] Remember how we danced, in the [G] summer rain,
[F] Now I’m left alone, with nothing [G] but the pain.

(Chorus)
[C] Raindrops on the window, [G] tears in my eyes,
[F] I see your reflection, in the [G] stormy skies.
[C] You said you’d never leave me, but [G] here I am alone,
[F] Listening to the echoes, of our [G] love that’s gone.

(Verse 2)
[C] Now the storm is passing, [G] skies are turning blue,
[F] I’m wishing on a rainbow, that [G] I’ll get back to you.
[C] But I’m left with memories, of a [G] love that was so sweet,
[F] Raindrops on the window, and [G] an empty seat.

(Chorus)
[C] Raindrops on the window, [G] tears in my eyes,
[F] I see your reflection, in the [G] stormy skies.
[C] You said you’d never leave me, but [G] here I am alone,
[F] Listening to the echoes, of our [G] love that’s gone.
