Backstory:
Disastrous Brother was formed in the heartland of the Midwest, where two brothers, Jake and Ethan, were born into a family of musicians. Despite their harmonious upbringing, the brothers had conflicting personalities, with Jake being the flamboyant frontman and Ethan, the introverted musical genius. Their constant bickering and intense creative disagreements, while difficult to handle, ultimately led to a unique blend of music that birthed the band’s name and identity. The recognition the band enjoyed, however, began when they moved to Los Angeles to pursue their musical dreams in earnest. The city’s vibrant and diverse music scene allowed Disastrous Brother to fine-tune their sound and gain a devoted fanbase.

Title: “Frayed Edges”
Full Song Lyrics:
[Verse 1]
(C, G, Am, F)
C
Woke up this morning,
G
with a heavy head,
Am
The remnants of the night,
F
still painted in red.
[Chorus]
(C, G, Am, F)
C
Underneath the city lights,
G
we’re just frayed edges,
Am
trying to fit right,
F
in this world of pledges.
[Verse 2]
(C, G, Am, F)
C
The friction of our lives,
G
crafting a fire,
Am
The noise of the world,
F
feeding our desire.
[Chorus]
(C, G, Am, F)
C
Underneath the city lights,
G
we’re just frayed edges,
Am
trying to fit right,
F
in this world of pledges.
[Bridge]
(Em, D, Am)
Em
Frayed edges we may be,
D
but we’ve got a story,
Am
a tale of defiance,
from a world of glory.
[Chorus]
(C, G, Am, F)
C
Underneath the city lights,
G
we’re just frayed edges,
Am
trying to fit right,
F
in this world of pledges.
[Outro]
(C, G, Am, F)
C
So here’s to the frayed edges,
G
the ones who dare to dream,
Am
in a world that judges,
F
we find a way to gleam.

Testimonial:
“I’ve followed Disastrous Brother since their early days in LA. The rawness of their lyrics combined with their edgy Alternative Rock sound really resonates with me. It’s like they’ve managed to put into words the struggles and dreams of our generation. Their song ‘Frayed Edges’ encapsulates the essence of trying to fit into a world where you feel a bit disjointed. Disastrous Brother is my favorite band because they’re not afraid to confront the messy parts of life and they make you feel less alone in your experiences.”
