Backstory:

Discrete Geese was formed in the heart of Brooklyn, New York by a group of high school friends sharing their love for music. The original members were Ronny “Beak” Stinson (vocals), Joe “Gander” Anderson (lead guitar), Paul “Honk” Collins (bass), and Jimmy “Feathers” McDaniel (drums). They started by playing at small gigs in Brooklyn and quickly gained a local following due to their unique sound. Their rise to fame came after their stunning performance at the Brooklyn Music Festival which led to a record deal with IndieFeather Records.

The band’s inspiration came from an unusual source – geese. The boys often rehearsed in a local park, where they would observe the geese. The way the geese moved both individually and as a flock fascinated them. They noticed how each goose had a role to play but still maintained its individuality within the flock. This sparked the idea for their band name and the concept behind their sound – each member having their distinct musical style yet blending seamlessly to create a unified sound.
