Backstory:
Disfigured Father emerged from the rainy streets and foggy nights of Seattle, Washington in 1998. The band was initially a cathartic outlet for lead singer, Hank Morgan; a place to channel his turbulent past, troubled relationships, and fraught relationship with his father. After meeting drummer, Jake Ritter, in a dingy dive bar, the pair soon found an affinity for creating raw and emotive music that reflected their shared realities. Joined by bassist, Lily Thomas, and guitarist, Jim ‘Crow’ Clayton, the band solidified their line-up and began their journey of music making.
Their first gig in a small, local bar was met with a surprisingly strong response, earning them a dedicated fan base that appreciated their honest and raw lyrics, combined with their grungy, post-punk sound. Since then, Disfigured Father has honed their sound, and with each new album, they continue to push the boundaries of their genre, forever forging a path into the unknown.

“Shattered Mirror”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Em C G D
A shattered mirror on the wall,
Em C G D
Reflects the pain, echoes the fall.
Em C G D
Inside the frame, a disfigured face,
Em C G D
A father’s love, now an empty space.
(Chorus)
Em C G D
In the shattered mirror, I see,
Em C G D
A disfigured father, looking back at me.
Em C G D
In the broken glass, the truth unfolds,
Em C G D
A story of love, never to be told.
(Verse 2)
Em C G D
From the shards, memories bleed,
Em C G D
Of a family torn, by a father’s need.
Em C G D
In the reflection, a painful past,
Em C G D
A shattered mirror, holding fast.
(Chorus)
Em C G D
In the shattered mirror, I see,
Em C G D
A disfigured father, staring back at me.
Em C G D
In the broken glass, our story’s told,
Em C G D
Of a love lost, in winter’s cold.
